This wheel is coated in a three coat candy red.  After preparing the wheel rim and hub, the silver base coat is applied.  After curing in the oven, a stripe is masked and the candy red is applied.  Again, the wheel is cured in the oven afterwhich a final clear coat is applied – and one final cure in the oven.  Each coat of powder requires a curing process in the oven. The spokes are twisted chrome and the nipples are chrome – both from Buchanan’s Spoke and Rim.

This wheel uses a wide rim and a stock Harley hub.  The wheel bearing used by Harley in their recent models are sealed ball bearings and must be removed before powdercoating.  NEW bearings are then installed.
